SMA Admission Process for BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
Who can apply?
Students seeking admission to the BBA program should have:
- An aggregate of C+ in K.C.S.E or its equivalent
- 5 Credit Passes in G.C.E or IGCSE
- KCE division 11
- Principle Pass at O Levels
English language qualification:
- IELTS 6 or above
- GCE O level grade C or above
- TOEFL 550 or above
All BBA candidates must have a sound command of the English Language, spoken and written. The final decision concerning the acceptance into the BBA program rests with the admission board of SMA Swiss Management Academy.
How to Apply?
Applicants must provide the following documentation:
- Apply Online.
- Complete Curriculum Vitae
- Certified copy of official academic transcripts.
- Two references letters (professional or academic)
- Non-refundable application fee of 5500
- Six passport-size photographs.
TOEFL exam is required for non-native English students. Minimum required TOEFL score: 550, 213 for computer based TOEFL.
When to Apply
Study places can be obtained on continues basis. We need less than one week to evaluate a candidate's credentials. We use eight main points of reference:
- The conclusion reached by the interviewer,
- Reasons for whishing to attend the BBA course at SMA,
- Academic and professional qualifications,
- References' opinions,
- Motivation for undertaking the degree
- Having sufficient time to devote to the course
- Personality and attitude
- Admission board's judgment of maturity of applicant. Academic transcripts or results notification
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, students should meet the following criteria:
- Complete all the courses subject to the degree equivalent within three years ( an equivalent to 42 block seminars).
- Maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 which is equivalent to a “B”.
Practical Information
When a place can be offered, SMA Swiss Management Academy asks you to decide promptly whether or not to accept the offer. An acceptance fee of Kshs. 155,500 is payable at this time to ensure enrolment in to the program. The acceptance fee will be offset against the tuition fees later on.
